The common approach centralizes your operational data into a new, enterprise-wide decision model — another semantic layer to populate, own, and maintain. Boss Loops references those definitions as governed evidence, whoever authors them — today's semantic providers or the next one. It doesn't recreate them, and it doesn't compete with the layer that owns them.
Boss Loops is the Decision Governance Layer. The only thing it models is the one thing no other system captures: the decision itself.
Every piece of evidence in a Boss Loops decision comes straight from its source system — the metric's governed definition, its value, and its freshness, captured at the moment the decision was made. Not a screenshot. Not a copy. The definition your data team already certified — whether it lives in dbt, LookML, a Snowflake Semantic Model, Fabric, or Cube, referenced through one contract that any semantic provider can satisfy.

A Decision Record doesn't copy your ERP or your warehouse — it points to them. The invoice stays in SAP. The metric stays in Snowflake. Boss Loops links to each source and adds the one layer they were never built to hold: why the decision was made.
Every participant lands on the same attribution model, whoever they are: the humans who judged and approved, the AI assistant that recommended, the autonomous agent that acted within policy, and the enterprise systems that supplied the evidence. One record, one consistent account of who did what — no special case for AI.

The ERP remains the system of record for the invoice. Boss Loops becomes the system of record for the decision to pay it — who decided, on what evidence, under which policy, and whether it worked.
And record by record, those decisions accumulate into something no enterprise system has held before: Decision Memory — a queryable history of how your organization actually decides. Enterprise systems remember transactions. Boss Loops remembers decisions.
Most decision platforms integrate vertically — building their own analytics pane or their own enterprise data model on top of your warehouse, and displacing something you already run to do it. Boss Loops takes the seat none of them occupy, and composes with all of them. Your semantic layer — LookML, dbt, Snowflake Semantic Models, Fabric — keeps semantic authority. Snowflake keeps compute, storage, and secure ERP ingestion. Your automation platforms and applications keep execution. The overlay adds the one object none of them persist — the decision commit and its record — and reads from all of them while displacing none of them.
The contract is deliberately asymmetric. Boss Loops reads enterprise data, enterprise semantics, policies, identity, and AI recommendations. It writes exactly one new kind of object: the Decision Record. Execution — the ERP writeback, the payment run, the Workato recipe, the Temporal workflow, the Slack confirmation — continues on rails you already own, after the loop commits.

The flywheel: Decision Records land back in the warehouse as first-class data — Looker dashboards your decisions (cycle time, automation rate, override outcomes). Our output becomes their input.
End to end: a Native App ingests the NetSuite invoice and a threshold opens the loop → the Looker KPI and Snowflake semantic view attach as frozen, qualified evidence → guards evaluate policy and the approval is captured on the record → execution is delegated to your existing rails → the outcome is measured from the same warehouse — and the Decision Record itself lands back in Snowflake as data your BI can analyze. That last arrow is the one vertically-integrated platforms can't draw: our output becomes their input.
